Creating a calendar is a great way to raise funds for a good cause which is why the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital (JWVH) made a 2022 one; they treat indigenous wildlife free of charge.

Johannesburg, South Africa (04 October 2021) – South Africa is home to some incredible creatures, from cute and cuddly to powerful and vicious, plus so many more! These animals play a vital role in our ecosystem, which is why they need to be protected.

In times of trouble, should an animal become injured, the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital is the place to take said injured animal. They specialise in treating indigenous wildlife.

From the intricacies of saving a poached Pangolin to the dangers of dealing with venomous and powerful snakes, you name the wild animal, and the team will work tirelessly to save it and return it to nature.

All of the work done for indigenous wildlife is done free of charge. This means the vet raises funds to support this vital work. They have several means to raise funds, but a fun annual project is the JWVH Annual Calendar.

The calendar will feature 12 unique Southern African animals along with fascinating facts about the species. This is how you can get your hands on a copy for yourself and a few extra for loved ones this festive season.

“We are currently taking pre-orders for our 2022 calendars and we will be able to start sending them out as soon as they arrive (this coming week!). As always, the calendar features gorgeous pictures taken of some of our patients from this past year. It also includes interesting facts about the species featured. This calendar showcases the incredible photography skills of core team member, Ashleigh Pienaar. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team!

To support our efforts toward rehabilitating compromised or injured wildlife, and to get your hands on one of these divine calendars, here’s what you need to do:

  • Head on over to our online shop and place your pre-order! You are able to pay via PayFast: https://shop.johannesburgwildlifevet.com/
  • The calendar is R165.
  • Thereafter, await notification from us that we have received your payment. We will confirm which Postnet you have selected for delivery (if you choose and pay for this option), OR we will notify you when you are able to come to our hospital and collect your gorgeous calendar!

Our thanks to one of our talented volunteers, Ashleigh Pienaar, for curating our annual calendar.
We treat indigenous animals free of charge, relying solely on the donations and support of our community.”
