Johannesburg, South Africa (20 April 2021) – Imagined Earth is a revolutionary company that has introduced reverse vending machines into South Africa which effectively pay you to recycle!
The world generates at least 3.5 million tons of plastic and other solid waste a day, 10 times the amount it did a century ago. Fortunately, there’s a growing number of people and businesses who’re starting to support the zero-waste movement, and this App is not only helping South Africa get there, but it’s paying us too.
We wrote about the incredible initiative but Good Things Guy Brent Lindeque got to chat to Imagine Earth’s Joshua Nuttall about what they’re doing; about ‘waste-preneurs’ and about how you can get involved.

Jacaranda FM has indicated that its JacPod series is seeing significant download numbers, with Brent Lindeque’s Good Things Guy podcast consistently being the number one most listened to channel for the past several months.
“The past two years at Jacaranda have truly been incredible, and I’m so overwhelmed with the amount of continued support Good Things Guy podcast has received. To be among great company like my fellow Jacpod creators Elana Afrika and Martin Bester, who also receive huge downloads on their content, is a great blessing,” says Lindeque.
Lindeque’s channel has been under the ‘featured’ section on Apple Podcasts for over a year; during this time, his show has ranked regularly in the top 10 podcasts in South Africa and peaked at number three across all genres countrywide and number one in the Society and Culture category.
Good Things Guy on Jacaranda’s JacPod series is popular with both sexes, showing a 55% female and 45% male split. The radio station reports that his listeners are primarily South African; however, he also has keen followers in the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Kenya and Ghana.
