A South African who helped build the High Court in Polokwane is now practising as an Attorney in the very same building.
Polokwane, South Africa (07 March 2022) – At just 30 years old, Mpho Lebepe is living proof that dreams do come true… if you are willing to work towards them.
Lebepe recently went viral after sharing a photo of himself working as a labourer during the construction of the High Court, and another of himself now, an Attorney in the same building,
“I worked as a labourer during the construction of the High Court (Polokwane). Now I am representing my clients at the very same High Court as an Attorney. Your dreams are valid. Yours sincerely, Mpho Lebepe of Lebepe & Associates Inc,” the post read.
The passionate South African is the Managing Director of Lebepe & Associates Inc – his own firm, which he is very proud of. Speaking to the Polokwane Observer, Lebepe opened up about his hardships while studying.
“My parents were going through a divorce, and I failed my classes, so I decided to drop out and try something else. A year later, I decided that it was not what I wanted for my life and decided to go back to school,” he explained.
He completed his LLB degree and articles but decided to work as a Bolt driver to raise the money to start his own law firm. He used the interaction with the clients he drove around as a networking opportunity for his law firm.
“I would distribute my business cards and give overview consultations to potential clients during these trips. This was how I got my first few clients.”
Lebepe’s story is one of sheer determination but ultimately a reminder that we can make our dreams come true… through hard work and dedication.
