Bathroom Break

A hilarious school trend takes over as one learner’s “quick” bathroom break becomes a full-blown adventure around school.

South Africa (25 February 2026) – It’s the classroom struggle everyone knows too well.

One learner asks, “Can I go to the bathroom?” The teacher replies, “Can you just wait for your classmate to come back?” And that’s where the chaos begins.

In a hilarious take on a trending social media skit, Paul Roos Gymnasium School brought the joke to life. Showing exactly what Tiaan is up to while his classmates wait patiently.

Instead of making a quick stop, Tiaan turns his “bathroom break” into a full school adventure. He’s spotted strolling through the corridors, paging through books in the library, grabbing something at the tuck shop, getting a fresh haircut, playing musical chairs, helping clean up, squeezed in a session at the gym, sky-gazing, and even hopping onto a motorcycle for good measure.

Meanwhile, back in the classroom, time stands still.

The video perfectly captures a relatable school moment. Teachers often stagger bathroom breaks so too many learners aren’t out at once, which makes complete sense. But for the person waiting? It can feel like the longest 5 minutes of your life.
