The Blitzboks hang out with Tom Cruise while in Paris


The Blitzboks are heading to the Paris 7’s final already winners! After their recent victory they had the chance to meet Tom Cruise and Stuntman Wade Eastwood.


Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and South African born stuntman Wade Eastwood are all busy filming scenes for the next Mission Impossible movie in Paris. At the same time the South African sevens team, the Blitzboks were in Paris to play their way to victory.

The team won their match 15-5 against Scotland and snagged the trophy for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens champions. Their win was sealed after their match 26-5 against New Zealand.

“It’s been an incredible season so far. We wanted to finish strong in this tournament and in London next week,” – Neil Powell, Blitzboks Coach

After the teams big win they managed to snag a picture with Mr. Impossible himself, Tom Cruise as well as his co-star Simon Pegg. Also present in the picture is South African born Wade Eastwood.

Wade Eastwood is most famous for being a stuntman and stunt coordinator for the Mission Impossible movies as well as movies like The Mummy, Jack Reacher, The Green Hornet and even Bridesmaids. His list of famous movies is outstanding!

The Springbok Sevens twitter account shared the image of the team meeting the Mission Impossible guys and captioned the image:
