Couch

A furniture store in the United States is being praised for allowing an elderly man to take his dog into the store to purchase a new couch.

The United States of America – When you own a dog for the first time, you naively tell yourself that you won’t allow them on the furniture. That reality quickly becomes a joke and life carries on with puppy cuddles on the couch.

Aleecia Dahl’s grandfather recently went viral after he took his dog shopping for a new couch. His beloved Coco needed to have her say in the purchase and the furniture shop gladly let her jump up and decide.

According to Aleecia, her grandfather never wanted a dog. He was surprised by the pup, and now they are inseparable. She shared the heartwarming story with The Dodo.

“Coco is the dog Grandpa never wanted but cannot live without, they are the best of friends that he never knew he needed.”

The best friends go everywhere together, and according to Aleecia, they love lounging at home on Grandpa’s favourite chair. Recently the chair needed upgrading, so Grandpa and Coco went shopping. The new chair had to be big enough for both of them, so the only way of knowing was to test it out.

“It was Grandpa’s requirement that the footrest on his lounge chair was wide enough for him and Coco to sit side by side.”

The store allowing Coco in was the reason this story has gone so viral. They eventually found the perfect fit. This is such a sweet, feel-good story we couldn’t help but smile.
