Just a reminder that not all heroes wear capes. Some wear teal uniforms and ride delivery bikes! A now-viral video captured the most heartwarming moment when a grocery deliveryman went the extra mile to help a stranger during a car breakdown.

South Africa (24 April 2026) – Few things can bring your day to a stressful standstill quite like car trouble. Recently, one motorist found himself in just that position – until he received a boost and a helping hand from the most unlikely of heroes: a Checkers Sixty60 delivery rider!

In a heartwarming video captured by Janine Enslin, the deliveryman and the driver are seen working side-by-side, attempting to jump-start the car using cables connected directly to the delivery bike’s battery.

And when that didn’t do the trick, the deliveryman gave the driver a quick ride to go get a new one. After their quick trip, they returned to the stationery vehicle and the man fitted his car with a new battery, with the Sixty60 driver giving him a hand under the hood.

“That’s what you call service,” Janine captioned the post.

And entertained viewers online couldn’t agree more! The video has garnered over 196K views on Facebook and the praise of several South Africans in awe of the deliveryman’s kindness and helpfulness.

“Beautiful gesture Mr 60/60!!!! Give him a bonus!!!” Rian Perold wrote in the comments section.

Shalette M Hemley commended the friendly nature of many delivery guys, saying:

“These drivers are amazing. Always so friendly and willing to go that extra mile. Well done guys. Keep up the good work.”

There were 142 more positive comments at the time of publication, from people all over, showing this kind deliveryman a whole lotta love!

We join them in shining a light on his kindness – taking a moment out of his busy day to help a fellow South African in a real pickle. It’s moments like these that restore our faith in humanity and remind us why Mzansi is such a remarkable, special place.

Shout out to you, kind stranger!
