The new Black Panther movie, Wakanda Forever was released this weekend so the team at Chicken Licken had some fun and shared a funny South African advert.

South Africa (14 November 2022) – What are some of the things you can expect when driving into the city? Window washers, and cheeky traffic cops; these are somewhat uniquely South African. What would happen if officials from the fictional kingdom of Wakanda were to arrive in South Africa? Chicken Licken gives a hilarious look at how that would unfold.

In the latest advert, representatives of the fictional kingdom are sent to find “Big John” and on their journey, they have several curious encounters. They fly to the City of Cape Town in search of the one the Queen seeks.

The official Black Panther 2 movie, Wakanda Forever, was released over the weekend in cinemas across South Africa. It is the highly anticipated sequel to Black Panther.

Sadly the franchise shifted direction when leading actor Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 after a private battle with cancer. The movie executives made sure to honour the late actor. “Lift Me Up”, the lead single of the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” was released by Rihanna and is a dedication to Boseman.

With everyone talking about the new movie, it was a clever move from Chicken Licken, to add a local flavour to the discussion.

Take a look at the funny advert below.
