From strong vocals to energetic dancers, this school production had the crowd cheering after a sneak peek performance at East Coast Radio days earlier.

Durban, South Africa (19 August 2025) – Northwood School put on a fantastic performance, led by a young singer, Bella, a Danville Park Girls’ High School learner with beautiful vocals that immediately captured everyone’s attention. Her voice was strong and full of emotion, and she carried the stage with confidence, keeping the audience hooked from the very beginning.

As the performance continued, dancers came out to bring the show to life. Their energy, movement, and coordination added a whole new layer to the production. Just complementing the singing and keeping the crowd engaged. The audience was buzzing, cheering and clapping along and clearly enjoying every moment.

The highlight of the show was the performance of Special Star. The lead singer’s soaring vocals carried the song, while the dancers moved in perfect sync. The whole group delivered a polished and lively rendition that left everyone impressed.

This performance comes just a few days after the team visited East Coast Radio, where they gave fans a sneak peek of their performance. But this time singing the iconic Shosholoza in a smaller, more intimate setting with East Coast’s Breakfast Show. That earlier performance was impressive, but seeing the full production with strong vocals, energetic dancers, and a cheering crowd? That really showed how much the team had lifted the song and how much time was dedicated to bringing it to life.

It was a performance that reminded everyone why Special Star is such a beloved song, and it was clear the learners had put in a lot of hard work to make it shine. The combination of singing, dancing, and crowd energy made this a performance to remember.
