“After this meeting, I want everyone to search the potholes in your streets – for 10 minutes at least – there might be someone there. We need to do our part for the community.”

Johannesburg, South Africa (04 April 2022) – I think we can all agree that we’re sick of boring Zoom meetings… that’s why a South African comedian’s skit about a ridiculous Monday morning meeting and someone getting stuck in a pothole for three weeks is leaving us in stitches.

“Good morning team; sorry I’m a little late this morning. I set the microwave for 2 hours instead of 2 minutes by mistake, so my Oats took a little longer than expected.”

Just imagine being part of this ridiculous conversation!

The comedian – Rory Petzer – has been doing the series since the 30th of March 2020, always using the same characters: Robert, Susan, Melody and Brett. In this episode, Susan’s cousin goes missing in a pothole for three weeks… and the entire thing is leaving social media users in stitches. Or maybe it’s Robert’s constant close-up angle? It’s all very funny.

Watch the hilarious skit below:

Rory Petzer is not only the creator of “Meetings in a Time of Corona”. The talented comedian is also a 2020 South African Comedy Award winner, and the first South African comedian to finish an ultra-marathon and do a comedy show on the same day.
