The photo featuring Cheslin Kolbe, half-hidden among his towering teammates, has fans laughing, proving off-field banter is just as entertaining as on-field action.
England, United Kingdom (09 October 2025) – By now, we all know the Springboks have clinched the Rugby Championship, but there’s more to the tour than trophies and titles. Off the field, the team has been sharing plenty of laughs, and one recent Instagram post from RG Snyman had fans and fellow players in stitches.
RG’s post, captioned “Photo Album from Tour”, features himself with Eben Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe, Lood de Jager and Siya Kolisi. The funny twist? Cheslin’s face is only half-visible in the snap. A deliberate move that sparked endless jokes online.

Fans and rugby insiders alike joined in on the humour. Even official accounts, including the Sharks Rugby, commented saying ‘Haibo’ with laughing emojis, while Springbok legend Bryan Habana added his own chuckle. Cheslin responded ‘En soe proe i ou neh eks klaar met jou,’ showing he’s in on the joke.
Siya Kolisi also had to take it a step further. Posting a video saying:
