Designer Ndiwavho Delroy Jim uses the shopping bags of local shops to create inspiring fashion, and his work is fabulous!

South Africa (24 June 2024) – If you have shopped at South Africa’s premium grocer, you will have one or more of their fabric shopping bags. The bags are incredibly useful if one just remembers to take them along to the shops. One designer found a whole new use for them… Couture clothing!

Ndiwavho Delroy Jim is a content creator and designer with a talent for turning shopping bags into couture fashion and accessory items. He shares his creations across multiple social media platforms and inspires with his designs.

So many people have loved Ndiwavho’s designs, and someone has even sent him a new sewing machine to keep his designer dream alive.

The latest is using the black Woolworths shopping bags to create several outfits.

The store shared their thoughts on one of his designs from 16 weeks ago, saying:

“Your creativity not only inspires us but also aligns perfectly with our mission towards sustainability and reusability. It’s customers like you who bring a whole new level of meaning and life to our products beyond their initial purpose.” – Woolworths

Take a look at the 5 outfits created below. We LOVE number 2!

He has since added a sixth look to the collection. For a full look at every design, check out Ndiwavho’s Instagram here.
