Celebrating 10 years, Suzette DIY took to her Instagram page to highlight how it all started and the moment she went viral in South Africa.

South Africa (15 May 2024) – Suzelle DIY has been sharing her nifty hacks and DIYs for just over a decade! Good Things Guy has shared so many of her brilliant videos over the years and loved every one of them.

It has been a few years since videos have featured but Suzelle recently started sharing DIY cooking videos again on her channel. Seeing as the Braai Pie was what caused her sudden popularity in South Africa, we love seeing her go back to her food roots. Her newer videos include pap sosaties, cheesy balls and a pancake cheesecake.

If you missed the video that launched it all, take a look below. We are still giggling!

Suzelle is a fictional character played by actress Julia Anastasopoulos. Her popularity led to a second character creation, in Tali which went on to become a Showmax Original called Tali’s Wedding Diary.

Tali’s Wedding Diary was inspired by Julia’s own wedding to SuzelleDIY director Ari Kruger. Their shared sense of humour was part of what brought them together and they had lots to laugh at in the build-up to their wedding. Following on from that, we got to see Tali’s baby diary when Julia and Ari welcomed their first child. Another funny one for the books!

With a decade of good laughs and wholesome content, we look forward to seeing if Suzelle DIY will be back to her creative studio, showing us new ways to hack life. Stay tuned to see!
