Tali Babes has a few questions about what is happening with Day Zero in Cape Town. We decided to answer those questions for her here.
Hi Tali, how you?
So Tali from the hit Showmax TV show ‘Tali’s Wedding’ is wondering where Day Zero went and if she still has to shower with a bucket? Well Tali, we have the answers for you.
Where did Day Zero go?
It has been pushed out to 2019. This was because of the introduction of stringent water measures as well as some much-needed rainfall. Day Zero will continue to be pushed out if Capetonians stick to the water restrictions, water-saving efforts and successful winter rains.
Can you stop showering with buckets?
No, the water restrictions are still in place meaning that all water saving efforts must continue until the City of Cape Town makes an official announcement regarding water restrictions.
How to enhance the 90-second shower.
So Tali, we hear you when you say you hate the 90-second shower. There are ways to get around it if you calculate your daily usage using the water calculator. Once you see where you use your water, you can make adjustments to ensure that you are within your daily limit and still manage a slightly longer shower.
We hope these three snippets of info give you the clarity you have been looking for.
PS: We do love the earrings!
