We’re guessing this Truly Madly Deeply singing might happen again when our favourite pubs finally re-open after COVID-19 lockdown!
Global (1 July 2020) – A video has from 2010 has started trending again and bringing us all the pub feels!
It might be titled “Hooligans singing Savage Garden’s Truly Madly Deeply, but the internet agrees that for some odd reason it’s pretty special, and absolutely wholesome!
We did a bit of digging, and it turns out that Puma created the campaign connecting soccer with romance with “The Hardchorus”.
“Football players and fans sing love songs like they’d sing them in the stands. They want to be in your arms. You want to be in the stands.
Costing the equivalent of just five 30-second World Cup 2010 TV spots, the ‘HardChorus’ campaign doubled weekly store sales and delivered 1.8 million unique visitors to Puma online. Our objective was to engage directly with everyday football fans, regardless of team or player preferences.”
