An overwhelming response from donors helped People4Purpose NPO support local families with essential groceries and care packages, while also allowing the organisation to share supplies with other community groups.

Johannesburg, South Africa (17 August 2026) – People4Purpose NPO is celebrating a weekend of generosity after an overwhelming response from its community helped provide essential groceries and care packages to several local families.

The organisation shared that the support went further than expected, with the abundance of donations also allowing them to pass supplies on to other organisations doing meaningful work in the community.

Behind every grocery bag, care package and box of supplies were members of the community willing to give what they could. Those contributions help keep shelves stocked, families fed, and people supported when they need it most.

The weekend also relied on a team of volunteers who spent their time collecting, packing, loading and delivering the donations. A special thank you went to Ruzani and the delivery and collection team for giving up their weekend to make sure the supplies reached the families and organisations they were intended for.

Every donation, collection and delivery might seem like a small act on its own, but together they create a much bigger ripple of hope.
