Handre took part in the sweetest tradition to mark the birth of his first daughter!
Cape Town, South Africa (24 October 2025) – Another Bok baby has touched down! On Monday, Springbok champ Handre Pollard and his wife Marise welcomed their second child at Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt hospital in Cape Town.
It was a full circle moment for Marise, who was born at the very same hospital thirty years ago.
The couple’s bundle of joy, a baby girl, is named Isabella Tanya Pollard. She joins her big brother, Hunter, who was born in April last year.
The news was first shared by the hospital, congratulating the parents on the newest addition to their little family. In a very sweet tradition upheld by the hospital, every new dad raises a flag outside of the facility after welcoming their newborn.
Handre raised the pink flag, marking a new chapter in his life as a girl dad. His smile almost stretched across the whole of Cape Town.
Days after the news arrived, Marise took to Instagram to share a glimpse of their newest member in the family.
“And just like that our world has changed again. Isabella Tanya Pollard, you are so loved,” she wrote.
