A fundraising fairytale event is just around the corner and all floofs are invited! The upcoming dog-friendly Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is for anyone ready to welcome spring with treats, tea and wagging tails, with all funds set to go to the South African Guide Dog Association:

Fourways, South Africa (01 September 2024) — As spring rapidly approaches for South Africa, so does a refreshed sense of wanting to help our communities bloom. Set to welcome the season of all things new is a unique and dog-friendly Mad Hatter’s tea party that is combining all the things we love about spring: festivities, gardens and fresh opportunities for positive impact!

Taking place on Saturday, 7 September, in Fourways, the dog-friendly Mad Hatter’s tea party invites dog lovers and tea connoisseurs with a penchant for garden delights to bask in the first tastes of spring.

Proceeds from the fundraising fairytale will wag their way to the South African Guide Dog Association—a force of great good that breeds and trains Guide Dogs for visually impaired people in our country, as well as other people who navigate life with disabilities.

“Guests will enjoy a beautiful afternoon in a garden setting with a buffet style tea, indulging in a selection of cakes and dainty sandwiches, biscuit’s cones and tea/coffee. There will also be special dog-friendly “tea-time” treats for your four-legged floofs,” the organisers share.

As an added treat, Enzo the Mini Dachshund, an adorable pet influencer and therapy dog, will play host for the day.

A competition is also on the cards for the best-dressed pooch, so get those tiny top hats ready to rumble.

Details:

  • When: Saturday, 7 September from 12:30-16:30
  • Where: The Secret Tea Garden, Norscot Manor, Fourways
  • Cost: R85 for pets and R265 for humans—you can book your spot here.
