One month ago, the Angel Network set the goal of collecting enough marshmallow Easter eggs to support their network of 10,000 children and they reached it!

Johannesburg, South Africa (03 April 2023) – The Angel Network had set a goal to collect enough Easter eggs to treat the 10,000 children supported by their networks this year and they made it happen.

10,000 Easter eggs equate to around 200 boxes of marshmallow eggs. They undertake this public appeal every year and it is always a success. Bringing joy to thousands of children.

The Angel Network spearheads several causes and has, on many occasions, supplied thousands of essential items to people in need. The Angel Network works as a management organisation partnering with smaller organisations in need of funding and support. They rally their networks for help and then provide the aid needed to support smaller organisations. The organisation also supports individuals when they need it most.

They specifically collect boxes and strips of marshmallow eggs as these are easy to store and will ensure every child gets at least one egg during the upcoming Easter celebrations.

The eggs give the orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children something special to enjoy that is just for them.

“With heartfelt thanks to Joburg Mini and Junior Council, Parkmore Nursery School, Greenside Primary School, Colleen Suttner and friends and every individual who contributed to this year’s Easter appeal. As a result of your incredible generosity and kindness, 10 000 orphaned and vulnerable children will feel special this Easter!” – The Angel Network

Many attend soup kitchens and feeding programmes to get what is sometimes the only meal they will have all day. An extra treat like a chocolate egg is enough to spread joy through the entire community.

You can support the organisation’s continued efforts throughout the year by following along on social media and joining the causes and campaigns that are closest to your heart. Find out more via Facebook here.
