The Johannesburg fundraiser brought fashion, entertainment and community together in support of the Carmen Cares Foundation.
Johannesburg, South Africa (25 September 2026) – Fashion, philanthropy and a strong sense of community came together in Johannesburg as The Pink Society hosted an afternoon dedicated to breast cancer awareness and supporting people affected by cancer.
Held at the Country Club Johannesburg in Auckland Park on Saturday, 12 September, the fundraiser supported the Carmen Cares Foundation.
Under the theme “Where Prestige Meets Purpose”, the event brought together guests, community leaders, creatives and supporters for an afternoon of fashion, conversation and entertainment, with the focus firmly on turning the occasion into meaningful support for cancer care.
Hosted by Carmen Melissa, the high tea featured a programme led by Mrs World 2025 Tshego Gaelae.
“The Pink Society was created to show that glamour and purpose can share the same stage,” said Carmen Melissa. “Every person who attended, sponsored, performed, designed or volunteered helped us turn a beautiful occasion into something truly meaningful.”
For the Carmen Cares Foundation, the support raised through the event will help extend its reach to people navigating the challenges of cancer.
“It will enable the Carmen Cares Foundation to reach more people affected by cancer and remind them that, even during the most difficult times, they still deserve to feel beautiful and confident. Our Carmen Care Packages include wigs, lashes and other thoughtful essentials that help people reconnect with themselves and feel like themselves again.”
The Pink Society is intended to grow beyond a single fundraiser, creating a platform where businesses, influential figures and creatives can use their networks and talents to bring greater attention to causes in need of support.
