Cape Town has been added to the ultimate travel bucket list for the new decade, placing 22nd on a list of 50 travel destinations!
Global – Proudly South African, and PROUD of the Mother City!
Big Seven Travel asked their social media audience, made up of 1.5 million followers, where they plan to travel in the new decade. The survey results found the 50 best places to visit in the next ten years.
“Following on from sample survey results* of our 1.5million social audience and contributions from our editorial team, we reveal the places in the world that travellers should have on their radar this decade.
Spanning six continents, it’s an exciting mix of emerging tourist destinations and places that might soon be changed beyond recognition.”
Cape Town placed at No.22 on the list, surrounded by places such as Italy, Kenya and Tokyo.
“Countries who made it into the Top 25 include Italy and Kenya, as well as Tokyo, thanks to its futuristic buildings and old-meets-new vibe. Other places in the Top 50 to add to your ‘must-visit’ list this decade include Greenland and Jordan.”
Places like the Dead Sea need to be seen sooner rather than later because as the travel site mentioned, the sea is actually dying so there may come a day when you cannot go and float on the salty water. The Everglades in the United States are also at risk due to rising sea levels. The full list can be seen here, so if you are worried your bucket list destination may be in danger, they will have mentioned it. A lot can happen in a decade, so be sure to work towards your travel goals.
“Cape Town is a dream location to visit: endless natural beauty and clifftop views, pastel pink neighbourhoods and turquoise waters. What more could you ask for?
Hike Table Mountain National Park, learn about the country’s history and see penguins up-close. Cape Town is also home to amazing wine and food, and we predict that the next decade will see plenty of exciting new additions to the city’s hospitality scene.”
