The SAINTs Animal Charity charity shop supports so many animal charities by selling books and other second-hand items on their behalf.
Northriding, South Africa – The SAINTs Animal Charity started as a book-selling initiative for a shelter in need, but it grew and expanded to a fully-fledged charity shop, which includes an online shop where people bid for items on Facebook. They also have a small venue for hire of which all proceeds go to animal welfare.
Over the course of time, since they opened, the charity has added nine beneficiaries to their list. Each charity is asked to send their supporters to the charity with the purpose of making donations or purchasing items from the charity shop. Everyone can get involved by donating, buying, or volunteering time at the charity shop.
The Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital recently got invited to be a beneficiary of the SAINTs Animal Charity shop.
“We are so ecstatic to be a beneficiary of SAINTs Animal Charity for the next 6 months. In order for us to benefit from this though, we need your help!
Do you have any items in your home or storage that you no longer use or want that you feel someone else could benefit from? Are you urgently looking to get rid of pre-loved items that would bring joy to others? Please get in touch with us, or SAINTS!
All items sold in their store for us will ensure that we can continue helping injured and orphaned urban wildlife return to living wild and free again.
We treat indigenous animals free of charge, relying solely on the donations and support of our community.”
The nine other beneficiaries include:
- Animal Allies
- CO-SANC
- Husky Rescue
- Border Collie Rescue SA
- Greyhound Welfare SA
- Pawesome Wacky Whiskers
- CLAW
- Dogtown SA
- Spaniel Welfare SA
- Steri Fund
If you would like to visit the charity shop, you can find them via Facebook or at shop 19a, Northriding Square, Cnr Bellairs and Blandford Dr, North Riding.
