After dominating the World Freestyle Championships in the UK and sweeping all four categories at Nationals, best friends Jada and Caitlyn continue to show why they are South Africa’s top dance duo.
South Africa (25 November 2025) – If creativity had a soundtrack, it would sound a lot like Jada Croll and Caitlyn Nortje on stage. It is fast-paced, perfectly in sync, and absolutely electric. This dynamic duo has once again stunned the freestyle dance world with a season of phenomenal performances.
After turning heads at the World Freestyle Dance Championships in Blackpool, UK earlier this year where they placed 1st in the Youth Premier Freestyle Pairs, they have now doubled down on their success right here at home. Not only did Jada finish 6th in the world and Caitlyn take 1st place globally, but both also cracked the Top 10 in the Freestyle Solo section.
Fast forward to Bloemfontein this past weekend at the South African Nationals, the momentum did not stop.
Representing Gauteng at Bobbies Park, they entered four categories and won all four. Whether performing as a fierce pair or individually in their solo sections, they were simply unstoppable.

Their highlights include:
- Premier Champion Freestyle Couples/Pairs- 16 and Over (2025 Title Holders)
- Jada won both the Slow Dance and Freestyle 16-17 Premier Championship titles
- Caitlyn won both the Slow Dance and Freestyle 18–19 Premier Championship titles
- Third consecutive year being officially capped as Proteas, recognised by SADTA, Dance Sport SA and SASOC
At just 17 and 18 years old, they have been best friends and training partners since 2022. Winning Gauteng, every regional event, and every South African Championship that followed. They are also back-to-back World Champions, claiming global titles in 2023 and now 2025. The chemistry speaks for itself.
Behind the medals lies dedication, three hours of training a day, six days a week, bumps and bruises, all while juggling Grade 11 schoolwork.
As the year draws to a close, the duo now shifts their focus to another thrilling season ahead, packed with major international events and even bigger dreams. And if their recent form is anything to go by, the world better be ready, because this friendship duo is ready to take over.
