After a year of persistence and a powerful wave of community support, the wait is finally over! The Magaliesburg property, which has long been a haven for vulnerable children, is officially secured and under the ownership of Hopelands Village!
Magaliesburg, South Africa (28 April 2026) – In March 2025, Hopelands Village purchased the property it operates from through a legitimate liquidation process, doing everything by the book.
The charity fulfilled its obligations immediately, paying the full purchase price in cash and ensuring all transferring attorney fees were settled by September 2025.
Despite this, a year passed without the transfer being finalised.
According to Co-Founder Stephen Lamprecht, the delay was caused by a single outstanding consent form from their bank – a document that remained unsigned despite constant communication and exhaustive efforts to resolve the matter.
Though all documentation was in order and financial obligations were met, it wasn’t until Hopelands shared their plight on social media last month that the process finally gained momentum.
Now, after a year of waiting and many setbacks, this week it was finally time to celebrate!
Registration is complete, and the Magaliesburg property, which has been a sanctuary for orphans and abandoned children, now rightfully belongs to Hopelands!

“Our staff came together to mark a truly special milestone. The property now officially belongs to Hopelands Village. We give God all the glory for this incredible blessing. What a journey it has been, filled with challenges, patience and unwavering faith.”
Though there is still much work ahead, today the team stands grateful, knowing that every delay has a purpose.
The charity is profoundly thankful for the supporters who followed their journey and the social media community that amplified their voice, finally bringing this chapter to a triumphant close.
“We are ready to continue the mission of rescuing, loving and caring for many more babies. This is not just a celebration, it’s the beginning of something even greater,” Stephan said.
