A wall belonging to a home for youth in need has a new message that says ‘you belong here.’

Cape Town, South Africa (20 April 2026) – Drive down the right street in Table View and you’ll be overcome with love! Where there was once a plain wall, there’s now something so much more powerful standing tall.

Isibindi Initiatives has just painted the boundary wall of their Table View home, turning a blank space into a message that captures everything the organisation stands for.

Thanks to helping hands in the community, the mural that reads ‘We love you { } just as you are’ is complete.

According to the team at Isibindi, it’s a glimpse into what they believe and stand for, which is a celebration of diversity, a declaration that everyone is welcome, and a bold, colourful reminder that love, unconditional love, is always present there.

“A place where diversity is celebrated. A place where everyone is welcome. A place where you are LOVED, just as you are.”

For a non-profit that has spent many years building homes and families for youth who have no other place of belonging, having a wall that speaks up matches the love that is poured into their homes. It announces, before you’ve even knocked on the door, what kind of place it is.

In fact it reminds anyone who happens to drive by that there’s love in the world for them.

Isibindi Initiatives was founded in 2020 as a registered non-profit company, though its roots in developing homes for youth in need stretch back to 2013, in partnership with Echo Youth Development. Today, they run homes in Table View, Ysterplaat, and Stellenbosch, each one a shared community of house leaders and young people who might otherwise have nowhere to call home. Each sporting a wall of love.

Their mission is built on the values of unconditional love, worthiness, and belonging and it’s precisely these words that now greet the street from their freshly painted space.
