It’s time to step up for disability rights! ChangeAbility invites you to their Walk with Disability event this Saturday. It’s a chance to raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and connect with others who share the vision of a more accessible world.

Stellenbosch, South Africa (15 November 2024) – We are well into Disability Rights Awareness Month and ChangeAbility is on a mission to make the communities of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Helderberg more accessible and inclusive, and they would love for you to be a part of it.

National Disability Rights Awareness Month, observed from 3 November to 3 December, calls for us to take a moment of introspection on how we can advance the rights of persons with disabilities and ensure that people with disabilities are fully a part of every area of our society.

Nobody should ever feel excluded. Simple actions such as showing compassion and creating wheelchair-friendly environments, along with increasing job opportunities for disabled individuals, can significantly ease their daily challenges.

This Saturday, ChangeAbility will be hosting a Walk with Disability event which is all about raising awareness and promoting inclusivity for people with disabilities.

Whether you walk, roll, or support from the sidelines – everyone is welcome!

“Your participation helps us spread the message of acceptance and empowerment. Together, we can make a difference! Bring your friends and family, and let’s walk for change,” ChangeAbility shared.

Registration starts at 8 am at Stellenbosch Town Hall. The walk will begin shortly after, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to connect with others who share the vision for a more inclusive world.
