Kindness Like Confetti (KLC) has been living up to its name, spreading joy throughout Johannesburg with a series of heartwarming initiatives that demonstrate the power of community and the positive impact that small gestures can have on the lives of others!

Johannesburg, South Africa (07 January 2025) – Acts of kindness and beautiful moments of community have been overflowing the past month down at the Kindness Like Confetti Johannesburg headquarters.

Knitting love for the tiniest tots

The dedication and thoughtfulness of skilled knitters saw adorable handmade jerseys for little ones, cosy blankets, and tiny beanies and booties for babies gifted to new mommies at Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus in honour of World Prematurity Day. More than just knitted items, these served as a symbol of solidarity and brought much comfort for new moms navigating unique challenges in their motherhood journey.

Giving women a confidence boost

Bags upon bags of pre-loved bras and undies have also been handed out to the communities and charities that KLC supports through its Project Uplift initiative, affording countless women from disadvantaged communities the confidence to show up for life without fear or insecurity like the true queens they are!

Christmas magic for the young and old

Christmas joy was also spread in abundance in Cosmo City in December as children each received a special gift box filled with a set of summer pyjamas, a fun toy, back-to-school stationery, essential toiletries and delicious treats, bringing big smiles and festive cheer all around!

The oldies weren’t left out of all the festive fun, as they, too, enjoyed good food, great company and spoils at the Eeufees Old Age Home.

“The joy, laughter, and festive warmth shared on this special day remind us of the power of kindness and community. Thank you, Marisah and family and volunteers, for making the season brighter for these cherished elders and to the KLC donors who sponsored the food,” KLC said.

By caring for the youngest and most vulnerable, as well as honouring our elders, KLC truly lives up to its name. These acts remind us that kindness can be found and shared just about anywhere!
