Miss Universe

Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is in Las Vegas for the Miss Universe pageant with the hopes of winning. We can all help her bring home the title!

Miss South Africa is taking part in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, USA. The competition is taking place at The Axis in Las Vegas this Sunday. South Africans can tune in to watch it live on Vuzu (DStv Channel 116) from 5 am (SA time) on Monday.

We are able to vote to help Demi-Leigh get through the various rounds. There are two ways to vote online. South Africans can either go to Vote.MissUniverse.com or tweet on Twitter using the hashtags #MissUniverse #SouthAfrica and retweets count.

Demi-Leigh’s sponsors have said that voters can pre-vote 10 times per day until Saturday. Voting will also be allowed during the live broadcast, for each round of the competition. At the time of posting, there are 3 days left to vote so if we all do it for the next three days we can hopefully help get Demi-Leigh the Miss Universe title!

Remember that any time a South African wins anything on a global scale, eyes all look in our direction and people consider our country for travel and everything else! So let’s support SA by supporting Demi-Leigh.

“My preparations started when I was crowned Miss South Africa 2017.

“Just as with the Miss South Africa platform, I understand the responsibility of being Miss Universe and the impact it has on millions of lives.

“I am extremely excited and proud to represent our Rainbow Nation and cannot wait to wear the name ‘South Africa’ proudly across my chest.

“It has been 39 years since a South African wore the Miss Universe crown and I promise to dedicate and commit myself to ensure the crown will once again be on South African soil.”

We are holding thumbs for you Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters! Well after we finish our daily voting.
