Joan Launspach has shared some Christmas inspiration using grocery store bags to make a giant star and hopes others will join in and make their own stars.

South Africa (14 December 2023) – Recycling is at the heart of many South Africans and so many express their creative energy using reclaimed and recycled items. Joan Launspach recently got creative for Christmas and made a giant paper star using recycled Checkers Sixty60 bags.

Joan reached out to Good Things Guy to share her recycled festive decoration in the hope of inspiring others to take up crafty pursuits this December.

“I recycled Checkers bags to make a South African Snowflake.

We should all encourage recycling those bags. How creative can we get?” – Joan Launspach

The grocery store does have a recycling system for bags, you need only hand them to your delivery driver but why not pursue a few creative things with them too?

We found a helpful tutorial on YouTube which you can see below should you want to make some stars with your family. They are just going to be very big stars!
