The Angel Network Celebrates 10 Years of Impact That Transforms Lives

For a decade, The Angel Network has actively showcased the extraordinary power of collective kindness, from establishing academies and clearing student debt to delivering dignity to young girls and making a life-changing difference for brave souls like Alondwe and Alison Botha.

South Africa (04 November 2025) – A decade of hope, change and angel magic. That is what Angel Network is celebrating as it marks its 10th anniversary this month.

It all started in November 2015, when Founder Glynne Wolman witnessed the extraordinary power of social media when a simple response to overwhelming need quickly grew into a movement of kindness, action, and hope. Since then, the organisation has been committed to creating a gateway for giving – offering a structured, strategic, and sustainable approach to supporting the country’s most impoverished communities.

A Decade of Impact

In the past decade, they have established a bakery and sewing academy, cleared historical debt for dozens of students, rallied to deliver dignity to young girls, helped those on the streets keep warm, raised millions to feed the destitute and stood in solidarity with inspiring survivors like Alison Botha, a woman whose life epitomises survival and resilience.

The Angel Network is built on the belief that when we come together, we can change lives.

Just recently, we celebrated the Durban branch for their unwavering support of nine-year-old Alondwe as he recovers from life-changing surgery made possible by their efforts. A boy who once suffered from a severe case of cystic hygroma on his foot and face now looks forward to a brighter future and renewed confidence.

We also joined in sharing the inspiring story of Sifiso, who last week launched his own business with support from the Gauteng Angel Network branch. Their assistance helped him on a remarkable journey to undergo surgery for a cyst on his face, overcome addiction, and get back on his feet.

For 10 years, the Angel Network has been a beacon of hope and compassion. None of what they have achieved would be possible without the donors, volunteers and partners who have stood by them.

The organisation provides a platform where anyone can make a difference simply by being part of its community. Whether donating sleeping bags to the homeless, blankets to those facing the cold, or school backpacks and stationery to children who have gone without for too long, every act of kindness creates a ripple effect.
