Woodrock Animal Rescue shines the spotlight on a trio of gentle souls looking for love, playtime, and a place to call home.

Pretoria, South Africa (31 July 2025) – This week, Woodrock Animal Rescue could not pick just one, so they crowned three Dogs of the Week. And honestly? We totally get it.

Meet Shadow, Lou, and Jazz, three graceful greyhounds with gentle hearts and a whole lot of love to give.

Shadow is the dashing gentleman of the bunch, with a calm charm that is impossible to ignore. Lou and Jazz, his equally stunning, sweet-natured girls with kind eyes and playful spirits. All three are just around a year old and, true to the greyhound breed, a little shy at first, but loyal, loving, and affectionate once they feel safe.

Shadow and Lou were rescued together off the streets, with a bond was built through survival and trust. Jazz, on the other hand, recently found her way to Woodrock through a surrender. Each pup has a different story, but their gentle souls connect them in the most beautiful way.

“They’re social,” Woodrock shared on their Facebook page. “They’re great with other dogs, and they adore people.”

These three are not just looking for homes, but for hearts to belong to. Whether it is curling up on the couch, going for a walk in the park, or simply sharing quiet companionship, Shadow, Lou, and Jazz are ready for the next chapter of their journey and they are hoping it’s with you.

Woodrock Animal Rescue is a non-profit, pro-life rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming shelter. They care for over 500 animals at any given time.

So if you have got space in your home (and your heart), why not pay a visit to Woodrock Animal Rescue?
