One of Cape Town’s leading hotels, The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, a member of the internationally-renowned Red Carnation Hotels collection, was named this week, on the top honors list in Travel + Leisure’s coveted World’s Best Awards 2017.
Taking the No. 2 spot in the ‘Top City Hotels in Africa’ category, as well as being named one of Cape Town’s ‘Top 5 Most Romantic’ hotels, The Twelve Apostles is one of a slew of Red Carnation Hotel properties globally, reaching the top 10 in four categories and the top 100 in two others.
Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards, recognize the best destinations, hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines and tour operators around the world, based on a survey of the publication’s readers.
In April, the hotel was named the most popular South African hotel in 2016 among Africa’s HNWIs (high net worth individuals) according to the AfrAsia Bank Africa 2017 Wealth Report published by New World Wealth.
In terms of the report HNWIs, also referred to as millionaires, are those individuals with wealth of $1m (about R14m) or more.
