As Miss South Africa, Ndavi Nokeri is asking South Africans to stand together and embrace every single culture, gender, race and sexuality “because in our diversity, we are strong”.
South Africa (14 August 2022) – Ndavi Nokeri was crowned Miss South Africa 2022 on Saturday night at the pageant finale held at Sun International’s flagship venue, SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria.
The 23 years old from Tzaneen in Limpopo, works as an asset manager and has a BCom Investment Management degree from the University of Pretoria. The passionate South African hopes to one day be one of the people who make the decisions about South Africa’s educational and skills development in schools.
Former South African Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela joined Devi Govender, Harnaaz Sandhu, Rolene Strauss, Suzette van der Merwe, Thando Thabethe and Zozibini Tunzi on this year’s Miss South Africa judging panel.
During the question and answer session, when asked what the most important thing is to keep the unity of our nation… as history is the greatest teacher.
“To know where you are going, you need to know where you come from. Being a nation that comes from a history of a past of racial segregation, we know that when we were divided, we were at our weakest. So as Miss South Africa, I would implore us to stand together and embrace every single culture, gender, race and sexuality because, in our diversity, we are strong.”
