The Joburg Ballet started its ‘Bite Size Ballet’ series to promote the big news of the day in a short but impactful way. The pieces they choreograph have real meaning and are aimed at creating a conversation.

Joburg Ballet is back and tackling another breaking news topic. This time they are interpreting gun control and what that means in South Africa.

Gang violence is at an all-time high in South Africa and many children have either become victims or have been recruited into these gangs because of what they see their friends and family doing.

Every time they share a new piece, it blows us away!

“On the 24th of March, millions took to the streets around the world to campaign for stricter #GunControl in America. The #MarchForOurLives movement might be aimed at the U.S., but it got us thinking about the threat guns pose to South African youth too.”

Watch the powerful video below. It really gets one thinking, the influence we have on the children in our lives is so great and our responsibility is to teach them to be better humans.
