Love means patience, awareness, being present and also knowing when to receive it too. It is magic but its not a pill. Treat it as something that is sacred but learn how to let it go.

Can a man in a speedo really change the world ? In Union Square, New York, a weird bearded guy in underpants has decided to give it a try, yelling messages of love at passing New Yorkers, offering hugs and absurd jokes at every corner.

The face of this man has made its way around the web thanks to a video entitled “Word of wisdom from an unexpected citizen” and the whole world is getting to experience what is was like to randomly come across Matthew Silver, the wacky preacher of what he calls, the Silly Revolution.

Silver’s role as a clown, trickster and village idiot is to parody excessive seriousness by playing with taboos, rules, and social norms. His inspiration comes from the heart. He performs for smiles and laughter, loosening people’s armor, and opening up a portal for imagination, creativity and love.

Over the years, the talented performer has become some kind of a New York icon, thanks to his performances in the street. Driven by an unstoppable silly force and hilarious shows, Matthew Silver delivers love messages daily… however the cost.

He talks about the importance of living in the moment and doing what you love. A breath of fresh air in a world where conformity is the norm, don’t you think? Yes, you might think he’s a bit of a nut job – but wouldn’t you rather be a lil’ bit crazy than boring? Courageous, unconventional but true.

Silver’s newest video is all about love… and words that perhaps we could all learn to live by.

“This will guide your work, this will unfold your light. Love here now. Be you, just be you.”

Take a listen to what he has to say below:
