South Africa (26 April 2022) – The Grace Factory has started its Mandela Day preparations by packing 1000 bags filled with baby essentials for new moms in government hospitals.
The Grace Factory, an NPO that gives practical assistance to moms and babies in need during the first few weeks of motherhood and infancy, stresses the importance of doing so. The organisation packs the items into gift sets and delivers them to new moms in government hospitals all over South Africa. The packs consist of basic necessities such as clothes, blankets, toiletries, nappies and a few things for mom.
Mandela Day is a great way to give back to those in need. The Grace Factory will visit the maternity wards and surprise the new moms who are about to give birth or have just given birth.
People are welcome to send donations, and some women even crochet beanies, booties, blankets and other adorable premature baby items. Not only does the organisation welcome donors, but they also welcome volunteers to help pack the packs and hand them out at the hospitals.
