Watch: He asked for R2 from this beggar and this happened! BI Phakathi

A random act of kindness by a South African man is reminding us that love knows no colour and the only way we can all rise, is by lifting each other.

Johannesburg, South Africa – BI Phakathi, a motivational speaker, filmmaker and life coach is going viral for helping a beggar with groceries for his household, giving the man’s family a little bit of hope to get through their battle.

His act has sparked more than just hope for the family; it has given other South Africans hope in each other!

In a time when racial tension is rife and heartbreaking stories of division plague our media, Phakathi is showing us that love knows no races and that as South Africans, we should all be helping each other.

The Good Samaritan found the beggar on a corner in the east of Johannesburg and decided that he wanted to help. He took him to a local store and offered to buy him groceries and food. The incredible South African helps and persuades the beggar to put more groceries into his shopping cart, even though he only wants a few things.

“I don’t know how to shop properly”, the beggar explains.

While walking around, the beggar explained to Phakathi I that he is currently begging because he cannot find work. The video ends with Phakathi giving him money for a taxi and telling the beggar that he will see him again.

The video has inspired everyone that has seen it, reminding us that love knows no colour and the only way we can all rise, is by lifting each other.

Liezel Watson commented: “BI Phakathi… humbled by your care towards this stranger! You did not see colour, but the person! I am ashamed of myself and will work hard at one day having a heart like yours! Thank you, my you prosper!”

Katlego Baleseng added: “I am inspired, when I grow up i wanna be like you, reaching out to less privileged. God bless and increase you.”

Graham Thompson said: “BI Pkakathi…you are truly an amazing person. Your compassion and love for all people is a lesson we all need to learn. God bless.”
