Despite facing tough battles with illness, three young men from three different parts of South Africa were brought together to meet the entire Orlando Pirates soccer squad and bask in the joy of victory alongside their heroes!
South Africa (08 October 2025) – Three young men from three completely different towns: Lethokuhle from Katlehong, Nhlakanipho from Standerton and Wandisile from Ermelo each share one thing in common: hearts that beat for Orlando Pirates and especially their hero, midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng.
Their shared passion recently brought them together for an incredible Dream Day, which turned out to be everything they could have wished for and more!
According to the Reach for a Dream Foundation, each of them has faced tough battles with illness, but their resilience, excitement, and love for the game united them in a way nothing else could.
In a video shared by the Foundation, the three boys were captured making their way to the Orlando Stadium, where they got to see their favourite soccer club playing live against TS Galaxy.
Of course, their predictions for the win were with the black and white team, which they watched with anticipation from the edge of their seats and joy that was almost tangible!
“They weren’t just fans in the stands, they were VIPs. From meeting the entire Pirates squad to spending time with Relebohile himself, every moment was larger than life,” Reach for a Dream shared.
“They laughed, cheered, and watched the beautiful game together. And when the final whistle blew, they joined the celebration, sharing the joy of victory side by side with their heroes on the field, the roar of the crowd echoing around them.”
For a day, these youngsters got to escape their struggles, form new friendships, and simply be boys living a fan’s ultimate dream.
