500 children at Westbury Primary School were gifted school stationery to make this the very best year! Kindness Like Confetti spread joy to all the children.

Johannesburg, South Africa (18 January 2023) – A group called ‘Kindness like Confetti’ (KLC), based in Linden Gauteng, spreads kindness far and wide! This year, they kicked things off by making 500 stationery packs for Westbury Primary School.

KLC is a registered non-profit organisation with six main projects – collecting and distributing sanitary products, a feeding scheme, a knitting project called The Joseph Jersey Project, a dignity bag project to support victims of rape, trauma and abuse, Project Uplift, collecting new and gently used bras for women and an animal welfare support project. There are four additional KLC branches including Cape Town, Gqberha, Knysna and Pretoria.

The Joburg (Linden) branch has been in full-swing preparation mode for the upcoming school year. They hoped to give each child at the Westbury Primary School a stationery pack, and they succeeded!

Each child was given a pencil case with a ruler, glue stick, pen and pencil, eraser and sharpener, pair of scissors and a crayon pack or coloured pencils. They were also given school dictionaries thanks to two generous donors.

KLC had rallied supporters to raise R45 for each child and as you can see, it was a successful campaign. You can follow KLC on Facebook to stay up to date on the campaigns they run in 2023. Every single one is geared and making a meaningful difference in South Africa.
