Every child that celebrates Christmas deserves to open a gift this year so CPI-SA have made a list of the 90 children in their care that you can help spoil this festive season.
South Africa (05 November 2021) – Rejoice in giving this Christmas by wrapping up a Christmas gift for a child. Care Protect Invest South Africa (CPI-SA) has identified and listed the names, sex and ages of underprivileged children who need a cheer after a rough year.
“I do not know a child who is not fond of Christmas. Therefore this project is an exciting way for your kid to experience that rewarding feeling you get when you make a difference in someone else’s life,” says Dinah Bronkhorst, executive head of Care Protect Invest SA.
As always, the participation process is hassle-free:
- Check out list of children below.
- Send an email to admin@cpisa.org with your request and await confirmation.
- Head to the shops and start packing your gift box to the value of R150.
- Boxes can be couriered to the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria or send with Paxi to Elarduspark’s PEP store before the 8th of December 2021.
- You will be notified when CPI-SA share photos of the hand-out of the boxes on social media.
According to Bronkhorst, the non-profit organisation does not want to prescribe what to pack this year.
“Let your heart be your guide. We however ask people not buy sweets and toys that encourage violent behaviour, such as guns. Upon opening the boxes we do however want the smiles to be equally content and therefore ask you not to spend over R150,” she says.
Recommended items, depending on the age group, include a toy, stationery, colouring or activity books, storybooks, body spray and other toiletries, clothing, socks, underwear or cookies.
