The 15th of February was International Childhood Cancer Day, and Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer raised over R725,000 by hosting cupcake sales.
Johannesburg, South Africa (09 March 2021) – Cupcakes of Hope is Non-Profit, and Public Benefit Organisation dedicated to raising funds to assist not only the financial and emotional needs of the children with cancer and their families fighting the disease. The organisation also helps drive awareness about early cancer detection in children through the love of baking.
They have launched their ‘Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer’ fundraising initiative for 2021 at the start of February and are encouraged South Africans to put on their aprons and bake cupcakes for charity.
Cupcakes Of Hope fundraisers are hosted by volunteers throughout the year in a wide variety of formats. The funds raised enable the charity to assist about 100 children every month by paying for their medical or day-to-day expenses. As they like to say, this is by far the SWEETEST way to help save a life.
The 15th of February was International Childhood Cancer Day, and this year, they hoped to beat their fundraising from 2020. Last year they raised just over R500,000 and the hope was to reach that and go beyond.
And boy, did they do it!
Cupcakes of Hope raised over R725 000 for their 2021 “Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer” bake-off. There are still a few amounts being deposited into the organisation’s account, but they did so well at beating their goal; every cent thereafter is a massive and life-changing bonus!
