South Africans are searching for two heroes who braved the Gautrain ledge in Centurion to save a stranded dog that had ended up there.

Centurion, South Africa (17 October 2023) – The search for two heroes is on as the Pit Bull Sanctuary for South Africa shared a heartwarming post highlighting the actions of two men who braved the Gautrain ledge to save a dog in need.

The photos have been shared around social media but the identities of the two heroes are still in question. The Pit Bull Sanctuary for South Africa hoped that Good Things Guy readers would make the post go viral and the identities of the brave officers would be revealed. So far, we have been told that the one gentleman is Stean Rossouw of Counterpoint Risk and the other unnamed man, a TMPD officer, so the search is on for the accomplice in kindness.

The two men stopped to help the dog after a passerby had seen the stranded animal and shared the details for help.

The men carefully climbed along the Gautrain ledge to collect the dog and guide it back down to the safety of the ground.

So if you know who these heroes are, please reach out to let us know so we can share it with the animal welfare community and shower them with the praise they so deserve.

The Pit Bull Sanctuary of South Africa advocates for second chances for the breed and breed mixes. They worked to change the stigma of the breed and make sure every rescued pitbull has a loving home.
