Keira and Tiano are among South Africa’s brightest young dance talents who qualified to compete on the world stage and need your support to make the journey a reality.
Johannesburg, South Africa (19 March 2026) – Two young South African dancers are getting ready to take on the world, but they need a little help to get there.
Siblings Keira and Tiano have officially qualified to represent South Africa at the prestigious DanceStar World Dance Masters, set to take place in Croatia this May. With over 30 countries and thousands of dancers expected to compete, the global stage is set and these two rising stars are ready to take it by full force.
For Keira, the journey has been years in the making. Having started dancing at just three years old, her dedication and natural talent have already set her apart. At the 2025 DanceStar qualifiers, she received a coveted Gala invitation. This special honour is awarded to standout performers by the judges.
The invitation gives her the chance to perform at an elite showcase evening, where top dancers compete for placements.
Her brother Tiano is equally making waves. With six years of dance experience under his belt, he was named Top Male Dancer at the South African DanceStar qualifiers held at Gold Reef City late last year. His major achievement highlights his growing reputation as one of the country’s brightest young talents.
Despite earning an all-expenses-paid award, many of the essential costs including entry fees and travel-related expenses still need to be covered.
Together, the siblings train intensely and consistently impress, with much of their development supported by their dance studios, who have recognised their exceptional potential early on. They will be part of a team travelling under Bowring Levin School of Dance, alongside fellow dancers whose funding has already been secured. Now, the focus is on ensuring Keira and Tiano can join them on this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
In total, the family needs to raise around R66,500 to cover flights, accommodation, competition fees, travel documents and other essentials needed for the trip.
This is an opportunity for two hardworking young South Africans to represent their country on one of the world’s biggest dance stages.
