A man being cared for at a state hospital took time to help care for a fellow patient and it shows just how caring South Africans really are.
South Africa – Caryn Melville shared a heartwarming post about a man that helped out a fellow patient in a state hospital. State hospitals are often criticised in South Africa so it is so lovely to see a positive story on the topic.
The man in the picture helped the woman get comfortable. He assisted her by making a bed up for her, helping her into it and then tucking her in. He also helped her secure her belonging so that they would be safe while she rested.
“This is how South Africa should be. Here is a fellow South African helping out another fellow citizen. He made this ladies bed in the hospital and still helped her into bed, covered her with a blanket and ensured her belongings were safe. This brought a tear to my eye to see that we as a nation can work together.” – Caryn Melville
The picture has gone viral and is warming people’s hearts. The aim of the picture was to promote how good people are and not the lack of aid in state hospitals. While we know there is an issue, let’s take a moment to focus on how amazing this small act of kindness was.
