Donald Gogwe, a beloved petrol attendant from Cape Town, has once again shown us the power of human kindness. Known for his generous spirit, Donald is now looking to return a lost ID card to its rightful owner.
Cape Town, South Africa (02 December 2024) – The stories of South Africans going out of their way to help others are always refreshing for the soul and a forever-welcomed reminder of the genuine goodness that still exists in our oftentimes cold world.
Beloved South African petrol attendant and an everyday hero who doesn’t hesitate to help those in need, Donald Gogwe is once again doing what his kind heart does best – help others!
Based at a petrol filling station at Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, where he serves anyone who stops at his designated pump with the biggest smile, Donald has easily won over the hearts of many people.
Earlier this year, we shared a most touching story of how Donald gave a mother in distress R50 for petrol to get back home during a moment when she needed it most. Her fuel tank was empty, and she was struggling to access money to get home.
More recently, Donald, reached out to Good Things Guy to help another fellow citizen in need after finding an ID Smart Card when he was walking around Milnerton Business Park.
The ID belongs to a Mr Leon Andre Naude, and Donald is determined to reunite it with its rightful owner. This would undoubtedly save him the hassle and stress of a trip to the Home Affairs department for a new one.
Donald’s selfless act of kindness and big heart for the community truly exemplifies the spirit of humanity.
