Paarl, South Africa (10 September 2025) – In the world of numbers and advanced equations, Marthus Mellet stands as living proof that passion and perseverance can unlock extraordinary achievements.
The Wellington Preparatory School and College Grade 12 learner has been named South Africa’s Top Achiever for Ad Math in 2025, following his exceptional performance in the national examinations.
Marthus achieved a perfect score of 100%, a rare and remarkable accomplishment that places him at the pinnacle of academic excellence in the country.
The Top Achiever award is conferred annually to the highest-performing student in Additional Mathematics across the country. His achievement has earned him national recognition and a prestigious trophy.

Not only a maths genius, Marthus also received an award for Academic Excellence in Ad Physics after obtaining a result above 90% in his examinations.
