Covid may have taken a lot from us, but it has also given us the greatest gift; the virus has highlighted the efforts of heroic medical professionals.

Namibia (30 June 2021) – They say a picture is worth a thousand words and the picture that Hannes Kaufmann shared on Facebook says it all!

Hannes explains that the photo was taken at one of the Namibian hospitals. With everything that this virus is doing to people, seeing two medical professionals embraced both warms and breaks the heart.

“This photo speaks a million words. Stay strong Namibia, we will get through this. Thank you to our Health workers.” – Hannes Kaufmann

We have viewed this image from two sides, the first: two colleagues comforting each other after yet another loss, the second: two colleagues embracing in celebration as one of their patients gets discharged. It could be either of those or a totally different meaning all together. We will never know.

What we do know is that through the good and the bad days, the medical world has given its all to save as many lives and for that, they are our heroes of the decade!

Be sure to love, honour and cherish the medical professionals in your life!
