A 9 year old applied for the Planetary Protection Officer job at NASA and it is just too cute! NASA thought so too and responded to his application.

Earlier today we posted a pretty cool story about a job availability at NASA, it involves protecting the Earth from alien contaminants. While the requirements for the job were really high, that didn’t deter 9 year old Jack Davis from applying.

Jack Davis believed he had everything needed to do the job well, all his experience comes from watching loads of space and alien movies. A real life ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’!

NASA tweeted the cute application as well as their response. Jack wrote a letter explaining exactly why he was the perfect candidate. Here is what he had to say,

“I may be nine but I think I would be the perfect fit for the job. One of the reasons is my sister says I am an alien, also I have seen almost all the space and alien movies.”

“I am young, so I can learn to think like an alien”

NASA’s director of planetary science division, Dr. James L. Green saw the letter and decided to respond. He encouraged Jack to study hard and hoped to see him at NASA one day soon
