A Capetonian Policeman is going viral for just taking the time to be kind to a woman living on the streets.
Etha Cairncross shared the picture showing a Policeman sitting, speaking to what looks like a homeless woman.
“I’d like to share this image… of a SAPS constable, gracefully and respectfully speaking to this lady in Cape Town. She moved to cape town 15 years ago with one wish to have a better life but over the years her family including her kids died and now she’s living on the streets of Cape Town.”
“This Police Constable found it in his heart to share peace, love and kindness to this woman, he found the time to buy her food and things she needed. #Constablemiracle“
The post has been shared on social media over 10 000 times and users have been sharing why the Policeman’s act had “moved” them so much.
Zwelethu Mata posted: “I am deeply moved by this act of kindness. Awesomeness my brother.”
Pat Mokgabudi said: “This is a kind of a “Men in blue”, that lm proud to call a Police Officer.. Sometimes the help you can give to others, is your time.”
Kirk Arendse added: “All I can say it’s the small things you do at that moment that might change that persons life. And give them hope. First don’t blame anyone on their opinion it’s that women’s choice to liv on the street and it was the constables choice to talk and listen. That few minutes of conversation could change her life and she only she can lift up her human spirit and say there is hope and I can do this. thank God for the man he listen and acted according to a small voice in his head to help that woman. mr Dicks has a great lee plan but ya that’s a long shot ( he sounds like a politician ) but his not wrong either. let’s do what we can to help our community guys one minute one day at a time. be blessed.”
Claudine Coleridge commented: “See, not ALL SAPS are bad and may this be an eye opener to everyone who judge people without knowing their situation. We don’t know why they’re out there, we haven’t walked a day in their shoes, we don’t know their stories……….. thank God you’re sheltered under your roof and warm bed/s with warm meals.”
Mandy Roets posted: “An angel in disguise…..and an inspiration to us all. We can all learn from this man.”
