Biko, Manna and Mfundo are still singing their hearts out, following in the footsteps of their endlessly talented musical family.
Johannesburg, South Africa (18 September 2025) — South Africa’s favourite musical siblings are back on everyone’s screens, and they’ve got us grinning from ear to ear.
A new TikTok video of Biko and little Mfundo has racked up over 5.2 million views, thanks to a cheeky duet titled ‘As Long As It’s Vegetarian’. It’s about something most of us are a little obsessed with…food.
@bikosmannaSaw a video from @caelandgarcia and thought of doing it to our little brother😂 This one is called As Long As It’s Vegetarian 🌱 🙂↕️ Hope you enjoy ❤️♬ original sound – BikosManna
But here’s the thing about the two siblings and their brother, Manna. Their viral videos are only the tip of the iceberg.
The trio grew up in Malvern, Johannesburg, raised into a musical family. Their mom, singer and actress Ayanda Nhlangothi, and dad, musician Sebone Rangata, are well-known performers. Their grandmother, the legendary Dr Tu Nokwe, once sang with the Black Angels and hosted icons like Caiphus Semenya and Sibongile Khumalo in her home.
Music is the air this family breathes.

Now it’s the young ones’ turn to carry that torch forward. Biko has been composing since she was a toddler. Manna soon followed suit, and now Mfundo is melting everybody’s hearts.
While the trio and their parents are no strangers to busking and performing in Johannesburg, TikTok has become the siblings’ second stage, where they’ve already built a fanbase of over 2.2 million followers and 37.3 million likes.
@bikosmanna In honor of Freedom month in South Africa, we decided to cover this iconic song by Bob Marley just two days before Freedom Day🎤✊🏿🇯🇲❤️💛💚 One Love Song By Bob Marley Covered By BikosManna and Mfundo aka TauLion Freedom Day is a public holiday in South Africa celebrated on 27 April.[1] It commemorates the first post-apartheid elections held on that day in 1994 and the day on which the new constitution was introduced. The elections were the first national elections where everyone of voting age of over 18 from any race group,[2] was allowed to vote. #freedom #bobmarley #southafrica #onelove ♬ original sound – BikosManna
That digital stardom opened international doors, leading them all the way to the Festival of Nations in St Louis, Missouri, where they performed for over 100 000 people. They even took their talents to Nashville’s National Museum of African American Music, and yes, they’ve been on America’s Got Talent, too.
Alongside their parents and grandmother, the siblings have also been mentored by jazz guitarist and songwriter Bheki Khoza, known for his extraordinary musicianship and his influence on South Africa’s jazz scene.
@bikosmanna A spontaneous improv by our teacher, known here at home as The Jazz Maestro and Bheki Khoza The Great. To us, he is our best friend. Yes, our music teacher was in town. What a blast it was to be with him. 🥹❤️ @bheki.khoza . . . . . . . #BikoStar #MannaHero #TauLion #BKMN #BikosManna #AndMfundo ♬ original sound – BikosManna
With mentors like that, it’s no wonder the kids carry their music with such confidence and pride.
Through it all, they stay deeply connected to their isiZulu roots. In every performance, whether it’s on a Joburg corner, a US festival stage, or a TikTok duet about food, you can feel the rhythm of home.
And that’s what makes them so special.
South Africans have always rallied behind them, cheering on each step of their journey with the same pride we had when the Ndlovu Youth Choir took the world by storm.
Whether they’re singing about love, bravery, or just a good plate of food, we can’t (and won’t) stop watching.
